Are we all just lonely?

Are we all just lonely

Or is it just me

Escaping hiding

With no place to be

Are we all just lonely

Or is it just me

Wishing hoping

For someone to call

Are we all just lonely

Or is it just me

Waiting praying

For the season to end

Are we all just lonely

Or is it just me

Numbing fading

With no purpose at all

Are we all just lonely

Or is it just me

Or is it you

That feels lonely too

Here’s what I recommend

Let’s be lonely together

And make loneliness a stranger

Instead of a friend

To wilt and grow

The pressure to know is heavy

Know who you are

Know when you’re ready

But I feel unsteady

Unsure of the future

Lost in identity

Why do we idolize knowing

I feel that hinders our growing

Certainty is prideful

Unattainable

Curiosity is beautiful

Adaptable

Let yourself question and doubt

Isn’t that what life is all about

A healthy tree wilts and blooms

What if we give each other room

To wilt and grow

Rather than assume

We’re already bloomed

Beauty you can't see yet

There's beauty you can't see yet.

Sometimes it takes a good cry, a sun-facing window, and a camera to help you see.

Sometimes it takes a song, a movie, or a book to open your mind.

Sometimes it takes writing and silence to reveal something new.

Sometimes it takes deep breaths and fresh air.

Sometimes it takes a minute, an hour, or a day.

Sometimes it takes years, therapy, and medicine to clear the fog.

The wait is hard and painful, but there's beauty even now.

You may not see it until you're looking back.

Trust it's there with you.
